PLS-POLE LCA Builder and Validator
Write a vector load file without hand-editing text, or check an existing .lca before it goes into a model. Labels can be imported straight from the .pol so every load lands on an attachment that exists.
How PLS-POLE reads this file
The file is written in the LCA 5.1 layout shipped with the PLS-POLE examples, in US units (lb and psf). In PLS-POLE choose Loads > Vector Loads (LCA File), select the file, then run Model > Check. Labels that do not exist in the model are reported there as well. Your work is kept in this browser until you press Start over.
Layout validated on LCA 5.1, the version of the PLS-POLE example files. Other versions are parsed on a best-effort basis and flagged. This tool writes and reads load files; it does not judge whether the loads are correct for your line.
Loads in, drawings out
Once the Pole Passes, the Drawings Should Draw Themselves.
FDES builds the automation that turns PLS-POLE output into 3D models, fabrication drawings and BOMs for steel pole manufacturers. Bring one pole and we will show you the workflow.
