Dynamo is the right tool for exploration and one-off automation your BIM team runs themselves. The moment a workflow becomes firm-standard (everyone runs it, projects depend on it), its logic belongs in a compiled C# add-in with proper error handling, versioning, and a one-click ribbon button. We often start by translating a proven Dynamo graph into exactly that.
Can Revit automation generate our sheets and documentation?
Yes: sheet creation, view placement, viewport alignment, and title block data are all fully scriptable through the Revit API. Documentation sets that took afternoons of clicking become a generated output with your standards applied on every sheet.
Can it enforce our BIM standards automatically?
Yes. Model checkers audit naming conventions, family parameters, workset assignments, and link health on demand or on a schedule, catching violations while they're cheap to fix instead of during coordination.
